Welcome a board! This site will log our travels on a Spirit 28 sailboat,as we change our fast pace life to a slower one. We will sail/motor from Okla. Kerr Lake by way of the Arkansa River and locks to the Missippi River. As weather will let, we will travel arround the Gulf Coast, then up the East Coast, tring to remmenber life is to short not to enjoy each day. We will try to show that you can enjoy the cursing life without living on a 40 plus boat. You don't need to travel around the world to enjoy life,the USA has alot see and poeple to meet. First day of building a web site 05-07-01
05/12/2001 Still working on site and boat have added solor panel and new wiring.
06/02/2001 Working to an end, add a cabinet on port side for books and map storage. Also ordered two new AGM Batteries to install this coming weekend.
06/16/01 Made trip to Applegate Mairna to setup our date for lanching and resetting mast.
06-30-01 Added more bookshelving, install racks of spices, started putting winter and full clothing on board. Install water filler for line to water pump on motor. Added hinge to bed to get to storage under bed.
07-08-01 Pulled boat from lake, now it's time to work on bottom and add new dripless seal for prop. Will move to Kerr Lake on the 25th.
07-18-01 BOTTOM DONE/// now it's time to load our personal stuff. If it does not have two uses it can not go.
07/24/01 The boat is now at Kerr Lake our longest day. Will move on next week.
